Sonic Producer - Can You Really Make Good Quality Tunes With This? Find Out Now!

,
MAKE HIP HOP RAP BEATS :

If you are looking to make your own music on your computer such as rap beats or hip hop beats and dance music then you normally run into quite a big problem, and that is money! Most of the tunes you hear today are produced on top of the range computers and sound systems that unless you have a few thousand dollars to spare it will be quite hard to produce high quality tunes!

Sonic Producer - Can You Really Make Good Quality Tunes With This? Find Out Now!

Well the above was true until the new software package called Sonic Producer was released that basically claims to make easy to produce your own beats from your computer.

The way it does this is by giving you a complete library of ready made sounds and beats that you can place together to make your own professionally sounding tunes.

The software itself is very simple to use and comes with tutorial videos that will show you all the features of the software.

The thing I actually liked about sonic producer was the huge amount of beats and riffs that there are in the library which makes it possible to cater for any music taste.

If you want to make dance music for instance there is lots of snares and heavy bass lines, and if you want to make rap music there is also difference sounds for this.

All of which have been professionally designed and you'll be able to tell the quality when you hear them.

Another nice feature of sonic producer is the fact there any track you create is able to be exported and saved to your computer in MP3 format and then you are able to burn it on to CD and you have just made your first album.

Lastly another nice feature that you don't normally see with music production software is that sonic producer offers a free trial which is basically an online sample of some of the capabilities of the software which is quite nice so you can see if you like it before hand.

I hope this article has told you a bit more about the music production software sonic producer and some of the features that you get and how it works!

The Role of The Music Producer

,
MAKE HIP HOP RAP BEATS :

Up until recently, the sole job of the music producer was to over see the recording process of a song or an entire album. His or her main duty would be to schedule the studio time, keep all of the band members on time, and provide a second ear for a particular sound. The music produce was basically the leader: The person who would bring everything together. They would act as a bridge between the record lable and the artist. They would make sure that the artist was completely satisfied and all of their musical needs were met. While today's music producer may still do these things, the overall job has become more interactive.

The Role of The Music Producer

Today's music producers are expected to over see the entire song process. They are involved in everything from pre production, post production to mastering. The producer must be an expert in every aspect of the music creation process. He must be a solid musician, or have superior knowledge of musical theory. He must also understand the engineering aspect of the recording process. A sound knowledge of the music business is also necessary. The producer will be communicating back and forth between the artists/musicians, the recording engineer, and the record company so it is extremely important that he/she speaks the language of all three.

In most cases, the music producer is expected to be the song writer and engineer on a particular song, and even for entire projects. This is found most commonly in hip hop, r&b and other brands of popular music. In these genres the producer is expected to pre-compose the instrumental, and even at times write and record the hook. Some producers will collaborate with other songwriters and composers to design entire packaged songs to sell for huge profits and royalty cuts. The salary of a typical music producer can vary. In the past, landing a job as a music producer for a record company would yield you a very healthy income.

The role of the music producer has definitely changed from what it was some sixty years ago. Through-out all of these changes one thing remains true, acquiring a good producer is a necessary step in the success of a musical act. Not only does this bring the music experience to a song that an artist may be lacking, but when artists attach themselves to well known producers it has been known to yield great success. If an artist with little or no buzz gets production from a big name such as Dr. Dre, or Timbaland, this could potentially sky rocket them to the top of the charts. After all, this is why they get paid so much... right?

Make Your Own Music Video Online

,
MAKE HIP HOP RAP BEATS :

Being an up and coming artist means you need to take advantage of all the tools you have at your disposal to help market your musical talent. This includes having your own music video. Having your own video does not mean you need bags of money, there are many ways you use your ingenuity and achieve your dream while on a budget.

Make Your Own Music Video Online

The very first step is writing your song. If you are looking for some great ways to save money, you can visit beat sites or hip hop instrumentals on the internet. There you can lease or buy beats online. You can then use these beats for your recording. Once you have your song recorded, you can now proceed with the video.

The second step is finding the right spot or location for your shoot. You can do it out of doors or within an enclosed room. Make sure that you make a plan about how you want the video to look. Will you need to repaint the room? Props? Is the room well-lighted?

After you have made your plan and have found the right location, you need to have your camera ready. You will need your computer handy. You may also need a sound system so you can hear your song as you shoot the video so that all elements are "in time." You can get a friend to shoot for you or you can use a trusty tripod. The trick is making sure you know the range of the camera is using a tripod or you will be out of frame.

Shoot as many times as you can so you can have ample recordings to edit. The idea is to shoot one scene. Stop, and then shoot another scene. Shooting in the right sequence also helps make editing easier. After the shoot, edit your video and once you are happy with the product, you can now post it online.

If you are doubtful about your video making skills, you can use software that is readily available on the internet that will allow you to edit and add effects to your video. However, this would still require shooting the video. Try asking art or film students to help you out. They would love to be able to practice their craft and you will get your amazing video without breaking the bank.

Just remember that your song is the most important element in your video. Without it, there is no point in having a music video.

Hip Hop Videos

,
MAKE HIP HOP RAP BEATS :

Hip hop videos are an important source of art and entertainment. It marked its beginning as a promotional tool to support the artists in hip hop industry. The videos tell different kinds of stories to entertain the viewers. Some stories are fun. Some other stories are serious. There are even violent and sexy stories in the videos.

Hip Hop Videos

Hip hop videos typically show women characters in bikinis and these women characters come licking ice cream cones or lollipops. The music is based on certain standards without including any musicians in the videos.

Hip hop videos are necessary for those women who want to start their career in the hip hop modeling industry. These hip hop models first enter the video through small scenes and later major roles and then big roles in popular rapper's videos. By doing so, these models gain more publicity and this publicity is important for their profession. The models who become popular enter movies and television screens.

Hip hop videos available in modern days give less importance to expressive movements available in hip hop dancing. Dancing accompanies a single beat without many lyrics. In hip hop videos, women are mostly objectified. They act according to the wish of the other people who are involved in taking videos. Videos are becoming more and more vulgar in recent days. There is no control on the scenes in the videos. This situation with videos may be because of the dominance of macho rappers who are in competition for making more number of videos.

Hip hop videos create problems for black Americans at all times, especially black women and girls. It strengthens the stereotypes about black women that have existed over years. The idea in videos that the black women are promiscuous, irresponsible, and emasculate reversely affects the policies the black Americans have.

Hand To Hand Mixtape Review

,
MAKE HIP HOP RAP BEATS :

From Hand To Hand, the mixtape's notes drop from ear to ear spreading the real Detroit hip hop spirit to the world

Hand To Hand Mixtape Review

Global rating of the product: 4.5 stars

Proof s Hand To Hand mixtape allies Detroit s hottest talents. You will meet Proof, the whole IF crew ( Purple Gang, Woof Pac, Supa Emcee), the hot I-Mac group, Quest Mc Quody, Slum Village and many more good Detroit names such as Marv Won of the Fat Killaz on the CD. The mixtape's assets are certainly brushed up productions: Sick Notes, BR Gunna, J Hill, Jay Dee, DJ House Shoes, Trick Trick , Swifty Mc Vay's Fire Department contributed to a high quality production.

Hand To Hand will allow the listener to appreciate a full range of various artistic talents.

IF Soldiers fully represent on Times Up: an incredible flow delivery, a murderous spirit, spicy and well thought lyrics, rhythmic drum beats combined with various instrumentals make this track particularly hot. IF soldiers are taking over: Purple Gang, Woof Pac , Supa Emcee and their CEO RIP Proof show some unity. Back is the meaning of raw: opponents better not mess with the IF crew. The track is pure fire.

Don't miss Supa Emcee's Play With A Nut. Built on claps, piano, violins and dark basslines combined with Supa Emcee's powerful lyrics, the track will offer the listener a real perspective about the Detroit hood. Supa Emcee is a real busta . I highly recommend you the song.

Woof Pac's Western style 1 + 8 N Us song is based on a guitar notes and rhythmic drum beats song. I enjoyed the real OG dimension of the song brought to you by three merciless players in the game.

Macks And Pumps is a beautiful Purple Gang Trick Trick collaboration. The Trick Trick produced song leads you into a menacing, dark atmosphere. Little by little, you will feel the upcoming tension. Time for overheated speech and gun talk.
Bells, a dark bassline, violins, claps, keyboard sounds mixed up with the menacing voices of the artists will reinforce the scurrilous intent of the track.

Coming Up With Lent has a little bit of Promatic spirit in it. Proof and Ameer s rapid flow delivery totally matches with the bass sounds and the dope ass beats. Enjoy both players know how.

Don't underestimate Swifty Mc Vay's talent! The skilled emcee with smash you up lyrically in no time with his Fyre Department Team. You will find the Lawsuit song on Swifty's Forest Fyres mixtape, a very valuable solo piece of work that I highly recommend to all of you who haven't listened to it yet.

Heart Of The Streets combines pan flute and heart beat alike drum beats. Feel the coldness of the streets, the pain of the numerous losses of the street soldiers. One slug will tear people s lives away.

Wot I Look Like fully describes hood fights. Violins, claps, rhythmic beats totally intensify the harshness of the hood context brought to you by the Woof Pac crew.

Quest Mc Cody's Detroit City gig will barely leave the listener indifferent. The track welcomes you into a quite euphoric ambience that is enhanced with harpsichord and keyboard sounds. Detroit City fully comes to shine. Let's stand up and take part to the rhythmic and festive gig!

The DJ House Shoes produced Remember When is definitely worth your attention. The swinging track featuring Marv Won of the Fat Killaz will take you back to the golden age of hip hop.

Wudd Up beautifully fits into the Hands Up mixtape. Originally from PG The Mixtape 2006 will allow you to appreciate Purple Gang's lyrical skills and nice flow delivery. Purple Gang has an obvious passion for rhyming that will shine on the well handled track.

The Beats, The Rhymes featuring Proof and Chino XL is a classic if you ask me. Thanks to Big Proof's unconditional love for hip hop, the days of the hip hop shop have been kept alive. Guitar notes combined with rapid drum beats will suggest the enthusiasm and the huge passion for a non commercial hip hop that is all about the beats, the rhymes and the mic.
While the artists spit on the rap game's hypocrisy, they will totally convince you about their genuine love for a subtle art called hip hop.

How I Got Over enlightens local Detroit artist J Hill's talent. Dark bass lines contrast with soft female vocals, while electric guitar sounds will enhance J Hill's confident voice. I liked the opposition between light and dark, night and day, as suggested by the complexity of the instrumentals.

Russian Roulette allows the listener to step into a dark and menacing atmosphere provided by electric guitar and keyboard sounds. The song teaches you about the fragility of life. Well done, Kuniva.

This That Heat is a beautiful Supa Emcee/ Konflikt collaboration. Organ sounds are mixed up with rhythmic beats. Both artists are lyrically superb. I loved the mixture of scary/ murderous/ gangsta atmosphere of the track.

Royce da 5.9 and Proof worked on a Girls With Da Boom Remix. I recommend you the variation on the Girls With Da Boom Theme that will allow to discover another face of the track.

I highly enjoyed Mr Hash's Talk Over song. The song s theme explains the state of mind of a man who has always been determined to do what he was the best at it: rapping. It eventually paid off.
Anybody should take advice from Mr Hash's mouth. Don t listen to the people trying to discourage you and to convince you to abandon your way. Do what you re best at, and most importantly, go to the end.

Globally speaking, the Hand To Hand mixtape is worth your deepest attention. Not only does it feature valuable emcees from Proof s IF label, it will also allow connoisseurs and non specialists to appreciate tight Detroit talents such as Mr Hash of I-Mac, Trick Trick and less known however non less valuable Detroit emcee J Hill.

The mixtape summarizes the enthusiasm, the passion of local Detroit artists for hip hop and for their hometown Detroit City.

Explosive, incisive, raw, rhythmic, lyrical: one could barely stay indifferent in front of so much raw energy and the many talents that represent REAL Detroit hip hop. Hand To Hand is the diamond in the dirt. Cop it with no hesitation.

Music Producers Collect Record Label Cash With Beat Maker Software

,
MAKE HIP HOP RAP BEATS :

Beat Maker Software has taken the online music production world by storm in recent years. It's no secret the online beat market is highly lucrative for music producers who want to make money online. Determined producers are able to make ,000... ,000... even ,000 a month without a record label. Today music producers are utilizing music maker software to create the same studio quality beats that you hear on the radio, on CD's and in clubs.

Music Producers Collect Record Label Cash With Beat Maker Software

The cost of producing music has dropped dramatically making beat software affordable to anyone with a laptop and an internet connection. Building a studio used to require midi controllers, drum machines, sequencers and other expensive equipment that was difficult to learn. Now, producers are able to use beat maker software to create ten times more for one tenth of the cost of all that hardware. Even experienced hip-hop producers are using software to create today's hits.

Beat maker software allows beginners with little to no audio production experience to quickly make rap beats from their home computers. Many music maker software packages come preloaded with samples and instrumentals so getting started is easy. And, since beat maker software was made for the online world, uploading your beats to the web can be done at the touch of a button.

Music production is no longer limited to studios, publishers and record labels. Instrumental download sites are turning no-name beat makers into overnight super producers. Record deals and management contracts are quickly becoming a thing of the past as producers move to the online world to sell beats. Online beat sales numbers have seen massive growth, despite drops in traditional album sales. This has led many producers to abandon labels entirely and market themselves as independents.

Record labels provide artist development and marketing power that is typically unavailable to the average producer. This leaves many producers without the proper knowledge and training to produce and market professional quality beats. As a result, independent producers are often forced to cultivate their craft and invest in marketing on their own. Knowing how to sell beats and build customers is essential to your success as a music producer.

Beat maker software brings the recording studio to your fingertips, but you will still need to find customers to buy your beats. Record labels would like you to believe that the only way to reach mass market success is to sign at the red x, but that simply isn't true. Leveraging the internet, you can sell beats to the same market of buyers the majors scramble to entice, for a small fraction of the cost.

Record labels are giant 800 pound gorillas that are failing to keep up with consumer demand. We live in an age of instant access where music can be downloaded, created and transferred in minutes. Music maker software gives producers the ability to regularly produce beats without the hassles of traditional publishing.

Today thousands of producers are selling beats though social media and instrumental download websites. Online digital music distribution including beat sales, instrumentals, loops, kits, merchandising and promotions is a multi-hundred million dollar market.

Rap Beats And Their History

,
MAKE HIP HOP RAP BEATS :

The world of art has many things to say about music. It has always been an important part of our society causing change. Change is something that will always be a part of the world. Rap beats and hip-hop are no different.

Rap Beats And Their History

The world of hip-hop has built a world of political views and social issues. Rappers have always been the voice of the rap beats. The usage of rhyming lyrics and taunting of verse allows them to be able to build a world for their entertainment to be noticed.

Cultures around the world have united under the banner of hip-hop as it develops and changes with the world. Technology has been able to open many new doors for the artist. The artist is now only hindered by their imagination. With the insurgence of multiple cultures, hip-hop has been able to survive the music industry.

The South Bronx in New York city is the birth place of this music and the art known as hip-hop. The music was a rebellion against the disco of the seventies. The ironic nature of the music is that it borrowed from those before it. In this way, it was able to incorporate other elements from various sources.

The golden age of rap came to its head in the nineties when creativity was coming from everywhere. The open door policy of letting in other ideas helped to fuel a multitude of sub genres. Many of these sub genres have created their own branches, but still show their roots back to hip-hop.

This art form will always be an important part of the music world. The art will never die considering that it has so much energy. Society will always need a voice to speak out with and rap beats provide a good platform for this..

Never underestimate the power of real lyrics, a great composition and high quality recordings. In today's music industry it's very easy to become independent and promote your music yourself. But if you're going to do that legally you obviously need to have a written agreement between the producers of the rap beats and yourself.

Beats are easy to find on the internet, but finding reliable service and guaranteed delivery is another. You need to make sure that your rap beats are coming from the right sources and safety should be a main concern. It should be absolutely essential to find rap beats in places you can trust.

Make Your Own Beats - It's Easy With Software

,
MAKE HIP HOP RAP BEATS :

If your looking to produce your own music or create beats using your home computer then beat making software is the way to go. If your reading this then you have either looked at the price of drum and MIDI machines and your looking for a cheaper alternative or you have always wanted to make your own beats but don't know where to start. The really good thing about music making software is you don't have to spend lots of money, in fact you can get really good programs that cost under 0 that have more features than you can use. You can even download free beat makers but they have very little features and are normally fairly hard to use. Another bonus with beat making software is you can now back up on a USB, CD or iPod.

Make Your Own Beats - It's Easy With Software

There is a lot of really good software out there that you can use but there are a few things your going to have to take into consideration when choosing a good beat making program.

  • Does the software export your beats to broadcast quality?
  • Does it use.WAV format and not.mp3
  • Does it have more than 1 bar to work with - more the better.
  • Does it have drum pads and keys to work with?
  • Does the software come with samples?
  • Avoid online tools
  • Are the video tutorials or documentation on how to use the software?

I ask you this - Why do you want to make beats? People are making their own beats for many different reasons. Here are what some people are doing with the software -

  • For their own music and songs
  • For rap, hip hop, techno, dance and reggae
  • video background music
  • music for games
  • As a hobby and for fame
  • Parties and events
  • To sell and make money from

They are just some examples of what people are doing with their beats.

When formatting your beat, you can also change the order of the intro, the chorus, the verse, the bridge, around in anyway that you like. When you distort a track by mistake, be sure to check the instrument that is at the low end or check the boom (something like a bass, kick, or sub) as these tend to distort often. Learn to Make Beats - Choosing the Right Beat Making Software

,
MAKE HIP HOP RAP BEATS :

As rap music has evolved, producing rap and hip hop beats has gotten easier, making it something that everyone seems to be jumping into these days. Think about it - I come across handfuls of people each day that want to learn to make beats. And why shouldn't they? Not only is it fun and easy to do, but it can also be very rewarding on many levels.

Learn to Make Beats - Choosing the Right Beat Making Software

While making hip hop beats can seem easy, a lot is dependent on the equipment that you use (and the fact that you know how to use that equipment). This is where most aspiring producers hit a roadblock. They are completely clueless about what hardware or software to purchase. And that is where many people stop their ambition of becoming a hip hop beat maker. But, with a little knowledge, you'll be able to avoid that pitfall, and it starts with knowing what you need to buy to get started.

For a beginner in hip hop production, I strongly suggest that you choose an inexpensive beat making software program. And, I say that for many reasons, but the most important is that by going this route, you completely avoid wasting tons of your hard earned cash (and a lot of your time trying to learn something you don't know how to use). Why waste a few hundred bucks on something that is geared towards professionals? You've got to start small before you go big.

You can find a decent range of inexpensive beat making programs out there. There are even a few that are specifically catered to hip hop and rap production and are loaded with sounds specific to this genre. Focus on buying software that not only provides this, but also is geared towards newbies. Being able to produce professional sound beats right out of the box is not only gratifying, but it gives you the drive to keep going. And, if you do that, you'll be way ahead of the rest and well on your way to becoming the next big hip hop star!

Concert Review: MC Chris at Mojo's With Shaffer the Darklord and MC Lars

,
MAKE HIP HOP RAP BEATS :

When the MC Chris show was announced here in Columbia, I was excited in a really big way. Not only was MC Lars and Schaffer the Darklord coming with him, but the show was happening at Mojo's, essentially a bar with its seating removed. Cheap beer and small venue aside, I also missed MC Chris when he came last year to Columbia's Blue Note, so this was an excellent chance to see what I missed. Did the concert live up to the hype? Three words: Oh hell yeah.

Concert Review: MC Chris at Mojo's With Shaffer the Darklord and MC Lars

The show opened up with Schaffer the Darklord (whose clever acronym comes out to STD) performing his unique brand of hip hop. He took to the stage with a small introduction, followed by an outpouring of energy on stage. He made it clear that he's not a rapping nerd, but rather a nerdy rapper with songs like "The Bender", "Cat People", and "The Tin Man". Overall his delivery was clean, and there were moments where he really flexed his lyrical chops. The sound was very well done, featuring bit-tune beats and synthesizer. I did hear a comment from STD asking about the state of the projector, as there was a large screen behind him. We never did get any visuals during the first set, which was unfortunate.

MC Lars was up next, appearing with Ytcracker and a drummer who provided some bad ass beats on the drum set in the back. Unfortunate for Lars and Yt was the size of the venue. The drum set plus overlapped beats made for a very loud set and muffled vocals. There were a few good moments (when Lars got around to doing "Raven", it was pretty good) and the 8-bit story that was displayed on the projector was cool, however when compared to STD and the upcoming MC Chris, their set was merely ok. One interesting thing was that the entire Lars set was uStreamed live. There was only 4 or so people watching at the time, but it was something neat that they did that other musicians may benefit from trying.

When an artist comes to the stage with The Lion King's "Hakuna Matata" blaring, you know you are in for something special. This was especially the case with MC Chris. The sound issues seemed to have been ironed out by this time and he sounded great. All the classics were hit, from "Wiid", "Hoodie Ninja", "MC Chris is Dead", "Evergreen", "The Tussin" and of course, "Fette's Vette". His flows were clean and concise. There apparently was a mistake with "Fette's Vette" that I didn't even hear, but MC Chris apologized and restarted the track. To be fair, it was even better the second time around.

It was apparent that he was appreciative of the audience, talking throughout the performance about how he's just some guy who happens to make cartoons and how he's so happy to be here. He also spoke about a new cartoon he was pitching to Cartoon Network and told everyone to like the Facebook group "Get the MC Chris Cartoon on Adult Swim" and played a small bit of the intro. Overall it was an amazing concert whose lineup I'd see again. It's unfortunate that they couldn't get MC Lars to sound better, but I guess that's the nature of the beast. I'd highly suggest their shows to anyone who enjoys nerdy hip-hop and a good time.

Here are some things to look out for when choosing which beats software to use when learning how to make beats online.

- See if the creator of the program shows a video of how it works. At first, I just thought making beats would be hard in general, but when I saw a video of a beats program and it showed how easy it works, that is what sold me to it.

Rap Beats - How To Find Your Style With The Right Rap Instrumentals

,
MAKE HIP HOP RAP BEATS :

One of the reasons that new and experienced rappers have trouble finding the right rap beats is because they really don't know their style of rapping. A lot of rappers think that they know, but they really don't. This is because they spend so much time listening to their favorite rap artists, and as a result they can get wrapped up in that artist's style, which may or may not be comfortable.

Rap Beats - How To Find Your Style With The Right Rap Instrumentals

If you want to stand out as a unique rap artist, then you must have your own unique style. The way to find and develop your style is to take a break from listening to other rappers, and flow. Record yourself, and listen to only yourself for a period of time that allows you to really zero in and notice the unique styles and projections of your voice.

Once you start to get an idea and a comfort level with your flow, then you can begin listening to rap beats and rap instrumentals that match what your hear yourself recording. This may sound like a funny or weird task, but the results will surprise you. You will now be able to pick beats that will not only fit your style, but they will make you sound even better than ever, and the right rap beats will give you that 'platinum' sound, almost overnight!

Once you pick a few rap instrumentals that you think will fit your style, record over them, and spend some time listening to the recordings over and over again. You will hear things that you didn't hear before, and with this you will be able to develop and perfect your style even more. You may find that some of the beats that you though fit your style don't, so you can change them.

For this reason, it is probably better that you start off leasing non-exclusive beats, this way, you can work on your style with the beats without spending a lot of money. So if you find that a beat doesn't fit your style, then it's no big deal because you didn't have to spend thousands of dollars on it.

There are many sites popping up all over the internet that will allow you to lease non-exclusive or exclusive rap beats and rap instrumentals, so check around until you find the beats that you believe fit you, after doing the exercise that i talked about earlier.

This is a very simple technique for improvement, but if you try it out, I would bet that the results you will see will be much worth it. Try It!

How to Make Hip Hop Beats - 10 Easy Steps

,
MAKE HIP HOP RAP BEATS :

When you're just starting out how to make beats it can be fun and frustrating at the same time. Trust me I was there. But it really is easier then you think. If you're making a beat here are 10 tips that will get yo stated.

How to Make Hip Hop Beats - 10 Easy Steps

1. Pick a style- Know the style of beat you want to make before you start making it. Like rnb, rap, pop, etc. There have been plenty of beats that I made and could not figure out what style it was.

2. Pick A Major Artist- Think of a known artist that you would want to make the beat for. Like if you chose a style a rap, think now what rap artist do you want to make the beat for. Try to imagine that artist on your beat. This will make your hip hop beat-making experience a whole lot easier.

3. Listen To Their Song- Take a listen to the rap artist you are making the beat for songs. See the style. Get a feel for the kind of hip hop beats the artist raps over.

4. Formatting The Song- Very important. formatting is, the intro, verse, chorus, verse, bridge, etc. That's all it is but basically you just change the order around however you feel like it. Turn on the radio and see how your favorite artist formats there song. When instruments come in, when they drop out. The most basic form to start with is, 2 or 4 bar intro, 16 bar verse, 8 bar chorus, 16 bar verse, 8bar chorus, 16 bar verse, 8 bars chorus. This is the most basic beat-making song format. This is very common in rap. If you want an even simpler way, you can create an 8 bar loop and keep it the same throughout the whole song. I have seen this done a lot.

5. Laying down the beat- I have learned that for starters, it's easier to start with the drums. Kick, Snare, Hi hat, are always a good start. Record a pattern for four bars with those first. Then layer that with maybe some toms, cow-bell, symbols, etc. Whatever you want to use. THE DRUMS ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT IN MAKING HIP HOP BEATS! Your drums must hit and hit HARD. The best way to get your drums hitting hard is by not using "pitty pat" free kits you downloaded from the internet for free. If your drums are weak, then your beat is going to be weak.

6. Laying Down A Melody- This is where most hip hop beat-makers have the most trouble. Because most eat makers can't play the keys. For starters, you might want to learn basic keyboard skills. The major thing you need to learn are, major and minor scales. After you learn that, try and do different combinations and patterns with the drum beat you have made. Use an instrument like, a lead guitar, horns, clav, something that will stand out. Your melody can be however you want it, but for starters, you could do a 4 bar melody, or an 8 bar melody.

7. Layering The Beat- What is done a lot in beat making is layering. If you have your whole beat finished. You can go and make it sound bigger by layering. All you do is fill in some gaps, do the same pattern you did with one instrument with another instrument. Do this throughout your beat. This will make you beat sound a lot fatter.

8. Pan- Panning is basically having an instrument all the way to the right, all the way to the left, and anywhere in between. You pan for all kinds of different reasons. It gives each track its own little space in the stereo field. There are no rules for panning, put you have to do it. So just try it out and see what you like best.

9. The Mixdown- Very important! Very Important! Very Important! If you have a poor mix on your beat, then you have pretty much wasted your time. When mixing a beat, start with each track individually. Solo each track and make sure it sounds good by itself. EQ it if you have to, but if each track sounds good by itself, the whole beat will sound that much better. DO NOT DISTORT! If your master levels are in the red before you bounce to disc or .mp3, your distorting. Don't worry about if its not loud enough. You never ever ever want to distort. If you are distorting, check any instrument that has boom or low end, Like a kick, bass, sub, etc. these tend to distort more often.

10. The Bounce- Now that you made you're beat, Its the hottest hip hop beat ever, you want to put it on cd or upload it to the internet. When you're exporting a beat for cd, Use .wav file. 44.1 16bit. If you want to upload to the internet use, 320kbps (the highest .mp3 quality) or 128kbps. Most websites wont accept 320kbps because the file size is too big. So go with 128kbps.

These are all just guidelines to help you get started. There are millions of ways to make a beat, But this is just to help you get your feet wet if you don't know where to start.

Equipment to Make Beats - The 4 Things You Need to Make Your Own Rap Beats

,
MAKE HIP HOP RAP BEATS :

A Music Production Software

Equipment to Make Beats - The 4 Things You Need to Make Your Own Rap Beats

This is probably the most important piece of equipment to make beats. Your choice of software could have implications in the style you develop as a music producer. But for somebody starting from zero I would recommend to not pay too much for this yet.

Most of the peripherals needed to make beats come with light versions of popular music software. Even though the purpose is to temp you to upgrade to the more expensive versions, these light editions have more than enough sounds to keep anyone going for a long time.

If you have absolutely no experience you could check something like Sonic Pro, a very popular online program that for only .00 USD offers a sequencer, sounds, instruments and more important, video tutorials on how to make your own beats.

An Audio Interface

One of the most important reasons why to get a decent audio interface is their handling of a common problem with computers and music, latency. This is the amount of time that it takes the computer to process an incoming signal.

Latency can create very annoying issues when making beats, like playing a midi note and hearing the sound a second later. It would be extremely difficult to record live that way. Also if you want to connect instruments, external synths and drum machines, audio interfaces feature the proper inputs.

A Midi Controller

Most of today midi controllers plug to the computer via USB and are recognized automatically by most music software, requiring almost no technical knowledge to get them going.

The most popular midi controllers come in 2 flavors, keyboard or pads. The keyboard is the most popular and the most practical, but rubber pads can yield more rhythmically interesting beats. Even better is the new breed of controllers that blend both together.

Monitors

It might seem like the least important feature for someone getting started, but this depends on how much you enjoy making music. The issue lies in the reproduction of the entire frequency spectrum. Small computer speakers by default mess with the audio content, hyping up frequencies because of their inability to fully reproduce them.

Even though the monitors at beginner prices are not the full solution, as you go up in price you start to get a more realistic image of the sound you're working on. At lower prices most monitors still hype up the sound a little, but in a way that compliments music making and not video game playing.

Something About Monster Beats Headphones

,
MAKE HIP HOP RAP BEATS :

Monster Beats headphones are new products of the Monster, which are jointly developed by Grammy winner Dr. Dre and Monster team of audio experts. Artists and manufacturers have spent countless hours on fine-tuning and blending melodies to make it precisely how they hope their followers to discover it. But many of headphones can't unquestionably duplicate the intricacies made in the studio. Simply put, studios can. With precision-engineered, sophisticated loudspeaker produce, driven amplification, and driven disturbance cancellation, you will discover melodies the way today's peak creative individuals and manufacturers wish you to hear.

Something About Monster Beats Headphones

I think the headphones are great for hip-hop or rap since that is all I used them for. First, the packaging of these headphones is amazing. The producers at Monster designed a package that catches your eyes. When I open the package, I was extremely impressed by the design at the first sight, and work that went in to ensuring a perfect produce. It comes with a hard zipper carrying case, for travel and various cables. Second, the headphones have an amazing sound quality. On the box it says that Dr. Dre wants you to hear what they hear in the studio and believe me, you do. These headphones provide the best sound quality by far. Bass is good, and all kinds of music sound good. I think they meet Dr. Dre's demand.

Beyond that, I found the design to not be practical, despite how aesthetically pleasing they may be. On the plus side, they are lightweight. On the downside, the ear cups are pretty bulky. I'm also not happy about the way they swivel. It is difficult to describe and may sound like a stupid issue, but the moment I picked them up, I almost gave up on them right there.

But I think the price of the headphones is a little higher for most people, so we should find better ways to get the headphones. So for, there are many online wholesale websites which are newly come out, and the price of the websites' goods are often much lower than others. So, I think it is a good choice to buy wholesale headphones.

Of course, good headphones need a proper MP3 to display. Even your headphones or earphones are the best, it is of no vail if you have a low-grade MP3. Recently, Apple published a new generation MP3, the iPod Nano 6th, which has surprising music enjoyment. So the iPod Nano 5th will have a discount in the future. Unquestionably, it is a good news for someone who have no enough money. I think the iPod Nano 5th is compatible with the headphones.

Overall, these headphones blew me away when I have used the headphones for a period. From the packaging, to the sturdiness of the design, to the style, I believe that these headphones are some of the best out there. I enjoy the moment when I am listening music with the headphones. I look forward to see what headphones that Dr. Dre and Monster can produce next. These will be hard to top.

Do I Need to Pay For Studio Time?

,
MAKE HIP HOP RAP BEATS :

I get asked this question every single day. The answer is always NO! With today's technology, independent artists can save a ton of money by recording at their own home. You can produce high quality vocals in your own home that sound just as good as studio quality vocals. This would require the help of some good equipment but it can be done.

Do I Need to Pay For Studio Time?

I realize though that we all don't have money to be spending on 0 dollar condenser mics, interfaces, and even more on software. Depending on how much you spend, you can either get studio quality vocals, or laptop mic vocals. You can pay anywhere from -,000+ USD for a microphone. I'm guessing about 99% of you are leaning towards the -0 range. For 0, you can actually get a really good, large-diaphragm studio condenser mic that can produce very good vocals if you know what your doing. For -0, you can get yourself a high-quality large diaphragm condenser with USB connectivity and cut out the pre-amp and interface. This will save you a lot of money in the end if your not going for professional quality.

You have to go out and experiment yourself. Each artist's voice is different from another. One mic may be good for one artist and make another artist sound horrible. It's all a matter of trial and error as far as that goes. It all depends on your budget. If you pay a lot for a studio mic, pre-amp, interface, and software, then you're going to get a really good quality vocal track that is easy to mix which will pay off in the end. You can get by fairly well with a high-quality large diaphragm condenser with USB connectivity if you shop right.

So once again, you do NOT need to pay for studio time. Take all the time you want in the comfort of your own home. Just make sure the phone doesn't ring when your recording!

Don't get me wrong, vocal quality is one of the most important aspects of a track, but if you can record some good quality vocals at your own house, you can start small. Then, once you're good, and have a fan-base, you can hit the studios, but only after practicing with your mic at home for hours.

Quick tips:

1. Always use a pop filter
2. Don't be far from the mic when recording
3. If your just starting, don't stack your vocals (unless you're good at it)
4. Ad-lib

If you don't know what any of these things are, just listen to songs. You will notice that it is not always one person singing or rapping. There are harmonies and ad-libs that accentuate certain phrases.

Reasons to NOT Record Rap Music

,
MAKE HIP HOP RAP BEATS :

I have been a sound engineer since 2000. My first clients at Studio 5.1 recorded rap/hip-hop music. Even before that time as I worked at other studios in the San Diego area, I recorded artists looking to be the next "rap star." My experience with rap music in general has lead me to the conclusion that I no longer wish to record rap music.

Reasons to NOT Record Rap Music

I make no secret of my feelings towards rap music in hopes to combat the desires of those who wish to engage in making rap music in hopes that they will choose a more noble course in their lives.

The following are reasons and rationale why I have decided to discontinue recording rap music:

1)The lyrics of rap music are degrading to women (and therefore degrading to the men who use such language in their lyrics), they are unabashedly vulgar, they glorify an unhealthy level of materialism, and greed that perpetuates selfish, ego stroking content that is completely counter-productive in society.

Women are precious and deserve respect. Rap music not only degrades women, but falsely teaches women that in order to obtain acceptance from a man they must be a promiscuous, one-dimensional waste of a person.

Vulgar language makes up almost 50% of the total lyrical content of rap music. Most often this vulgarity is part of the mistreatment and sexualization of women or in promoting violence to one another.

The materialism, greed and uncaring self promotion so common to rap music lyrics stands against all socially productive ideology and opposes all that is good for the human race. Life should be about what we can do for others; what we can add to the world - not about what we can take from it - or who we can take it from.

Rap music has set at its core the lowest qualities, perpetuates shameful and demeaning treatment of women, champions drug use and violence, and is an assault on enduring principles at the foundation of civilized society. These reasons alone are sufficient motive to discontinue any activities to create, promote, or produce rap music, music videos, or anything like unto it.

2)While not universally true, an overwhelming majority of rap artists behave in such a way that places an undesirable increased legal risk studio owners. Rap artists tend to engage services with little to no ability or intention to pay for services rendered.

Aside from including lyrical content about drug use/abuse, some of the rap artists have engaged in discussing the sale of and distribution of illegal drugs outside of lyrical content in the presence of studio staff. This information places our facility in an unwanted position and is no longer neutral on illegal acts even those that occur outside of studio time. We either need to report the illegal activity possibly bringing hostilities to the studio and its employees, or not reporting the activities and becoming an accomplice to one degree or another. The liabilities from this information is not welcome.

Work has also been performed for music videos, as well as recording time, with deposits paid and the remainder of the work tenured without ever being paid the remaining amounts. Rap artists, more often than not the same individuals that fill their songs with lyrics about how much money they have and all the fancy cars they drive, seem to be the clients that have engaged recording services and "left their money at home" or some other excuse for not paying. I even had a client not pay me for over a year claiming that 'he couldn't pay me because he was in prison for selling drugs in an effort to earn money to pay me for the video work.' Such hypocrisy and scapegoating is not a recognized excuse for non-payment. Socially moral studios should not endorse engaging in any illegal activity, including violations to intellectual property laws such as using beats or music tracks illegally for any design or purpose. Morally concerned studio should also take the position to not endorse or condone any morally offensive or illegal activities engaged in efforts to pay for services rendered.

It is my feelings that rap music in its current state is an insult to civilized society and should be reformed or discontinued.

Making Beats With Music Production Software

,
MAKE HIP HOP RAP BEATS :

There are all sorts of variations of music editing and production software. There is also a variety of ways to create beats with music production software. We will go over the basics of beat production here.

Making Beats With Music Production Software

Some software makes it incredibly easy to create any type of beat in little to no time. Generally with more simplified software it is not a problem that most users have no experience making music. The trick is that the most basic functions of a beat maker or music production software is emphasized and simplified for easy user navigation so there is no hindrance when one wants to create their own unique beats.

Typically the base line creates the signature of any beat based song or music track. Then matching a catchy drum beat with the base line becomes the next step. Often people will manipulate the frequency or duration of a given drum beat to accommodate the pitch and rhythm of the base line since they both must complement each other.

Some software will be specialized for distinct genres of music. This may or may not be to your preference since you may want to make beats for several genres of music. Keep in mind that beats for techno, hip hop and rap are the most popular sought genres for beat makers.

The way in which you loop the drum beat sets the tone for the rest of your beat or song. You may want to add vocals or instrumentals to your track. As is most obvious, everything must complement everything else, that is why having an ear for what sounds pleasant is key to music and beat production.

In some music software there is a small feature where you can turn on or off the initial beat or track you created. A very frustrating mistake is to forget to toggle the initial track off while you are adding more sounds to your beat thus recording over the initial track. This is one of those simple but easy to correct mistakes I myself have even done.

Creating your own unique beats and music with production software is actually a very easy and addictive thing once you get used to the process. All it really involves is keeping an ear out for your music and making sure all the sounds fit nicely together.

Why Make Beats Online?

,
MAKE HIP HOP RAP BEATS :

With the explosion of rap and hip hop music that has occurred over the past decade or so, it makes sense that an increasing number of potential musicians are looking to get involved with the genre. After all, it looks as though this style of music is here to stay and, therefore, there is a lot of money to be made by producing it. With that being said, however, it can be very difficult to get start in hip hop because the equipment that you will need can cost a great deal of money. The people who sell this equipment do not care how much talent you have, as they are only interested in making money out of their business. This is an unfortunate part of the genre going mainstream, but, luckily, you can make beats online in order to alleviate this problem. You see, when you make your own beats online, you do not need to have access to this expensive equipment, as you can have everything that you need right at your fingertips.

Why Make Beats Online?

The great thing about this process is that when you make beats online, you will have access to the same sounds at equipment that costs thousands of dollars. You will find that making hip hop beats can be incredibly easy once you get the hang of it and having the ability to make beats online will give you the chance to thoroughly express yourself and show off your hip hop talent. Keep in mind that it is not always the expensive pieces of software that will provide you with the most realistic experience, as plenty many of these are overpriced for what they offer you. You truly do not have to experience quality when you choose to make beats online in your own home.

The thing about purchasing an expensive program to make your beats is that you probably will not even use many of the extra features that it will include. The companies that sell these products include these added features in order to discourage you from this online alternative, but the truth is that the end result will be nearly the same. When you make beats online, you will find that you can use the same loops and will be able to blend in instruments with the same quality as this other software, which means that you can still produce high quality tracks. Make your own beats online and you can save money while creating music that people can dance to and will enjoy.

Another great aspect of this is that there are countless instrumentals and beats online that you can sample without paying royalties, which takes many of the legal worries away from you. One of the things that many expensive pieces of software have is that they include the rights to sample music, but by searching through the right online databases, you can acquire full rights to great instrumentals for free. That way, you can escape all of the unnecessary problems that might follow when you make beats online. Having access to these samples will truly give your music a more professional feel, which is a major key if you are trying to gain recognition in the industry. You will definitely have fun searching through these free beats and finding something that you can create a special track with.

You will soon find out that it is much easier than you ever could have imagined to make beats online, as there are programs out there who will show you exactly what to do and where to do it. Once you have found the perfect place to express yourself, the rest will be up to you. At that point, your talent will take over and you will be able to show the world what you can do and the best part is that you will have saved a ton of money. Do not wait around for someone else to hit it big before you. Make your own beats online and you could be that next success story to hit the hip hop world. There is always room for talented people in the industry and now you have found a great way to show that talent.

Schoenberg - The Great-Grandfather of Rap?

,
MAKE HIP HOP RAP BEATS :

Rap music has been around longer than we thought. In the arts everything is recycled (many times stolen and recycled). We have had bell bottoms make a return in fashion, the bringing back of muscle cars on the road, big haired metal bands making come backs in concert and Neo-soul music which is...new soul music. Of course many are aware that the Hip hop culture and its music started in the boogie down Bronx in the 70's but the style or monotonous melody delivery may have been grand fathered even further back. The likes of social movement groups such as the Last Poets who released a Billboard Charting album in the 1970's, rhythmic vocals precedes the combining of lyrics over DJ breaks by delivering a lyrical flow of poetry to the beat of ethnic drums and instrumentation. The style which resembles closely the current Def Jam Poetry series or other earlier African American poets is not far off the beat of rap. You can link traces of both to the African Griots oral tradition.

Schoenberg - The Great-Grandfather of Rap?

Years ago rap music was considered a fad to vanish like the cabbage patch kids. The genre of rap music has thoroughly spread throughout the entire world and not only reaches, but affects and relates to every culture. Many countries histories are connected and deeply rooted in some influence of music, and the gap may be bridged closer.

Music is studied and broken down. Many composers and musicians learn to write scores of music by dissecting, studying and analyzing music of other composers and musicians. Music theory is derived from the analysis of common practices of that music's time and genre. Typical elements that are analyzed in music is it's form, such as intros and cadences, harmonies, rhythm patterns, tempo changes tonality or atonality and melody which are all present in rapping. JackDazey's highly educated world renowned professor tells the class that Rap is not music because it does not contain a melody. Rap is certainly not musically dissonant as the likes of Pierre Schaeffer's Mosque Concrète, whose genius attempt at innovated music technology was difficult to notate on paper like traditional classical music, but it may resemble more the expressionistic era as that of music theorist Arnold Schoenberg. Schoenberg's Sprechstimme is singing in a restricted way to maintain a constant pitch unlike the ups and downs melodic contour most melodies would have when they are played or sung. An example of this would be in Schoenberg's Gurre-Lieder or later works by Pierrot Lunaire.

Rap can be notated the same as Schoenberg did for Sprechstimme. However, rap actually has inflection in its speech delivery. This is relative to some exotic scales in which a micro tonality exist like Burmese or Indonesian music. Today's rappers like 50 cent and Ja Rule have distinctive melodic flow. Groups like Bone Thugs and Harmony are actually harmonizing in their rap flow. Rappers like Nelly are practically borderline singing or sprechgesang-ing. Not to mention, the entire above named have been Grammy nominated.

It is always said "to know where you are going, you must know where you are from." Rap is today's urban music. Its techniques are deeply rooted for over 100 years in American music. History serves as a blueprint that has been forged for us to learn from. Does this mean that Germany is the birthplace of rap music? Not quite, though Schoenberg is Austrian he is a well known early American composer, but it puts an end to the debate for historians or ignorant professors on whether the fad of rap is indeed at all music. In a world in which music is a huge part of every one's life, many cultures have been influenced by and incorporate rap into their own native language and music. Billions of profitable dollars have been earned from rap, it is not only grandfathered in as a style of music to last, but worthy of and honorary degree in which the success of hip hop can now afford to buy.

Have you been been craving to make your own beat? It is not that complex as most beginners think. All you need is to follow the basics steps as I will lay it out. Here are the five important steps to start making beats.

Learn How to Make Beats With Beat Making Software

You need a great beat making software.
There are quite a number of beat making software on the internet but few of them are affordable. I do not know how rich you are but most people can not afford most of the software. Most of the high priced software even take a little while to understand. So i will only recommend beat software that are low priced and easier to use - Sonic producer

Try to study the pros.
Before you can make a beat, you have to understand what you are doing. You need to pick a favorite or popular song and analyze the beat. Try and imitate the beat from the scratch, you do not have to copy anybody beat but the best way to learn is to follow the footsteps of the professional.

Make a beat that correspond with the pattern of your songs.
When you are making your beat, you need to have the pattern of the song at back of your mind. Most songs have an intro, repeated verse and a chorus through out the songs. You need to be conscious of all these when you are putting together your beat track.

Try different layers.
Having only a layer can make your beat dull, it is always better if you have layer of sounds on top of other layer of sounds. This gives you a more professional result and a fat sounding beat, so you can try putting together different sounds to make a layer and different layers to make your beat sound a little heavy. But do not overdo it.

The more beat you make the better you become.
The more time you spend on making beat and the number of beat you are making will determine how good you become. Always try something new and be creative, these will bring out the "hidden musical talent" in you.
